Thank you for keeping this site running for so long. My sister and I have developed a tradition of celebrating our Irish heritage by sending each other birthday e-cards from your site. It helps shorten the many miles between us and brings a spark of joy. God Bless!

Love your beautiful and informative web-site on Ireland.

My Mum was born in 1906 and raised in Scotland. Didn't know she was actually born in Antrim until she was in her 60's though she spent all her summers there until she came to Canada. So sad, really, as she never could find her birth certificate though we looked in Scotland earlier thinking she was born there but found out later it was here. She never got a chance to go back to Britain and past away in 1986. After she passed away I found a newspaper clipping from our newspaper and it was all about Antrim with a map and circle was Antrim. I am 73 now and think about this often. Thanks for letting me write this. Love this site always Gail from Ont. Canada

I found this site when looking for a special e-card to send to an Irish friend living in Holland.
It's a beautiful site, thank you for creating something so lovely. Looking at the pictures brings back happy memories of home to an Irish exile in Canada.

I'm Related To Sir William Billington,I believe/Lord Mayor Dublin, Ireland. Somewhere down the geneological line My Great Great Great Great(not sure EXACTLY the number of Greats) Grandmother Rebecca Golsby(Pure Irish), Fell In Love With And Married a Pure British Nobleman, Which I Believe to Have Been A -Ward-Sir William Billington-Ward,but gave up His Title to Marry Her And They Moved To America. (But We Later Found Out That His Title was Left In Tact And For A While My Grandmother was in contact with England directly to some of Our Relatives. I've YET to find out Who that was. I'm SURE it has somethign to do with Our British, AND IRISH Roots. i Believe Rebecca Golsby was ALSO Noble.Although Common To Others. Nobility Isn't Necessarily BORN With But Earned. Eh?:) I, ALSO Feel Homesick for Britain AND IRELAND, And My entire family although grew up in Midwest AMERICA, And Pure AMERICAN, Many Have Mentioned That We ALL Seem To Have An ACCENT. British at times, Irish at other times. *I call it a GENETIC Accent. ( I Also Have a Little German, And Cherokee Indian In Me As Well. Amongst More I'm YET To Find Out.:)
